If you were born before 22 September 1959 you could get between £100 and £300 to help you pay your heating bills for winter 2025 to 2026. Most people will get the payment automatically and you should receive a letter in October or November informing you of the amount of support your household will get. With most eligible people receiving the payments in the months of November or December. HMRC will take your payment back if your household income is over £35,000 and you can choose to opt out if you need too.
