The government have recently reduced the qualifying criteria for the warm home discount scheme with the number of households receiving this support expected to double. Anyone on means tested benefits will receive a one off £150 discount to their household electricity bill. You’ll usually get the discount automatically applied by your electricity supplier. But households in Scotland will need to apply for this discount through their supplier.
